Itinerary
Guest Arrival in Islamabad
- Welcome to Islamabad. Expedition Asia team greets guests at Islamabad International Airport.
- Transfer to designated hotel via car/minibus.Breakfast and coffee. Free time to explore Islamabad.
- From airport straight drive to Raikot Bridge (approximately 1and half hours on Karakoram Highway).
- Arrival at Raikot and board 4x4 soft-top jeeps. Drive to Tattu village, meeting point with porters.
- Start trekking through the dry lunar landscape. Ascend gradually with stunning views.
- Enter the narrow gorge of Tato river. Cross green juniper and pine trees.
- Arrival at Fairy Meadows for overnight huts.
Trek to Base Camp of Nanga Parbat (~4000m)
- Follow the trail through pine trees with Raikot glacier on the left.Traverse the lateral moraine of the glacier. Arrive at Bayal camping site, lunch at 4,000 meters. Enjoy views of Nanga Parbat and surrounding peaks. Walk back to Fairy Meadows huts.
- Overnight stay.
Trek & Drive back to Deosai – Skardu
- Two hours downhill walk from Fairy Meadows along Tattu River.
- Board 4WDs at Tattu. Arrive at Raikot Bridge on KKH over Indus River.
- Drive via Deosai towards the 2nd higiest platue of the world optional camping at Deosai or drive towards Skardu
- Arrival in Skardu.
- Overnight stay in Skardu.
